my stained carpet,
hugs from lil' boys,
grading schoolwork,
changing diapers,
making smoothies,
washing clothes,
putting sunscreen on,
tucking in,
reading books,

being interrupted,
washing sippy cups,
discarding ruined socks,
being the referee,
playing blocks,
shopping with 2 carts,
listening to Barney,
scrubbing off tattoos,

it has crossed my mind that someday I might be lonely and living by myself. so for this day forward, i will treasure each day with my children as a gift from the Lord.
i truly am blessed..
Great food for thought. As my guys get older (now 12 & 13) I am already grieving the end of homeschooling in 6 years...let alone dating, marriage, or *gasp* college. I totally agree with your sentiment. I will miss the happy business of our day-to-day lives.
ReplyDeleteThis is very special...thank you!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great poem, I am blessed with five daughters who are changing into little women each day. I am truely grateful for the time we have at home, wouldn't change it for the world!
